LACOLA will once again expect lifeguard competitors to meet some basic requirements in order to make the LACOLA Surf Racing Team for this summer.

As always, every lifeguard is welcome to compete at all competitions, including the 2010 USLA National Lifeguard Championships. Those lifeguards who contribute to the team as indicated below shall make the 2010 LACOLA Surf Racing Team and thus benefit most directly.

What does Team Status get you?
Benefits vary by year, depending upon National’s location and the Team’s fundraising efforts. They can include discount or free travel/accommodations, travel stipends, equipment transportation, uniforms, team dinner etc. For 2010, LACOLA Team status gives you priority for receiving a team uniform in preferred sizes, team dinner, and other benefits (TBD).

The goal of having a Surf Racing Team is to generate an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic group of competitors, all of whom have an equal opportunity to benefit from sponsorship, revenue and competition opportunities. While every lifeguard who competes for LACOLA receives overall benefits, those competitors who give their time and effort to improve the team and help raise funds shall benefit most for their effort. Any lifeguard who fulfills the requirements above will make the Surf Racing Team.
